The film broke box office records for a documentary and won a plethora of awards, including an Oscar, which Moore received by giving a famously incendiary acceptance speech attacking George Bush and the Iraq War. In retrospect though, Peres Smith is unimpressed by the film"s insight, "What Michael Moore was trying to argue that it"s a culture of violence [that causes these events].
